TRACY'S BIO

Tracy is a lesbian mom of five children, 3 boys and 2 girls, ages 23 to 12, living in western North Carolina with her life partner, Sarah, two of her five children, Brooklyn and Chase, and their 3 dogs, Kacy, Lily, and Sophie.

She spends most of her time engaged in activities with her partner and children.  Otherwise, she is writing, being productive, or trying to be creative in some way.  She is not one to be idle for long.  She works at home part time as a medical transcriptionist, homeschools her two youngest children, and has just begun publishing articles on Hubpages as well as completed the first issue in a lesbian-focused zine called Brain Drain: Lesbian Musings.  She is currently working on writing a book about her life, and has often joked she will need to publish it as fiction because no one will believe it!

She has an insatiable appetite for learning and loves to research everything.  She has many hobbies and interests such as photography, researching her family history, reading, writing, drawing, sculpting with clay, DIY projects, sewing, crocheting, quilting, machine embroidery, and decorating.  If it is creative or challenges her intellect in some way, she is interested.  She also studies psychology and, although she has taken a break from college, she is working on earning her Bachelor degree in Psychology and plans to go on to earn her Master's in Counseling Psychology.  One day she hopes to travel, speak publicly, and offer online counseling and a variety of support services through a private practice.

She is kind hearted, sentimental, a nurturer, and generous, often being asked for her opinion or advice by her friends and family, and sometimes even complete strangers!  She is easy to talk to and has quite a bit of insight to offer to those who ask.  She is optimistic and tries to always find the silver lining in every situation.  She says one of the first lessons in life she learned was forgiveness and it has been at the forefront of her life since, stating "Forgiveness is necessary for survival as none of us are perfect."  Another few words she lives by are, "If you cannot change the situation you are in, change your perspective of it and everything changes."

She is and has always been a night owl, finding the quiet at night to be rejuvenating and quite accommodating to her writing and becoming lost in thought.  "I can think in the dark.  I sleep best when the sun is shining and the whole world is busy.  I've met some pretty interesting people half a world away on complete opposite time zones being the night owl that I am."  All of her children are night owls as well.

Contrary to popular belief, Tracy is actually an introvert and has social anxiety, never really knowing what to say to initiate conversation, and prefers the quiet safety of her home, small groups versus large crowds, and is perfectly content to stay at home with her family.  She stuffs her anxieties and does enjoy a night out every once in a while, and would like to travel one day, but finds the world to be too busy and demanding for her current season of introspection and thus usually can be found at home or in quiet coffee shops, craft stores, or book stores.
